EIGHTEEN Rainbows helped Floral Peebles sow wild flower seeds along the railings known as The Evie Douglas Wild Way at the Gytes recently.

A spokesperson for the group said: “It is not very often that Floral Peebles have volunteers who are able to summersault and cartwheel during a sowing session.

“On the Wednesday it was the turn of Interest Link Border who annually help sow seeds in the cemetery. No cartwheels but lots of laughter, chatter and Victoria sponge.

“On Monday of this week it was the turn of the 1st. Peebles Brownies who helped in an other area of the cemetery. Lots of questions about graves and then the girls very kindly did a mini litter pick.

“That completes the wild seed sowing for another year. Our next task is to clear all the bulbs from the gardens and tubs to make way for the 4,000 summer bedding plants.”
