BROWN. - Peacefully, at Borders General Hospital, on Tuesday 12th March 2013, Joan Margaret, in her 94th year, widow of Ian Macpherson Brown, of Melrose, formerly of Spain and Wilderbank, Galashiels, much loved mother of Helen (Nell) and Malcolm. She will be sadly missed by close friends, her daughter-in-law, her adoring grandchildren and six great- grandchildren of whom she was so proud. A simple service for family and close friends was held at Borders Crematorium on Monday 18th March, donations if desired to the Stroke Unit, Borders General Hospital.
