DEVLIN. - (Galashiels/formerly Lauder) Peacefully, at Knowesouth Nursing Home, on Tuesday 26th July, 2016, Effie (née Forrest), aged 91 years, late sister midwife at Galashiels Cottage Hospital, beloved wife of the late George, mother of Jane (Edwardson) and the late Alison (Chesney), dear grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be missed by many for her honest wit and character. Private cremation, followed by a service of thanksgiving, in Old Parish and St. Paul’s Church, on Friday 12th August, at 2.00 pm, to which all friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please, but donations, if desired, will be received on retiring from service for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
