MITCHELL Robert Veitch (Bert) (Melrose) At Borders General Hospital on 20th January 2021, passed away peacefully aged 89 years. Bert, dearly loved husband of the late Lena and very much loved dad of Lesley and special father-in-law to Mike. Funeral private. Family flowers only please but donations for RNLI may be forwarded to Thomas Brown & Sons, Funeral Directors, East Port, Melrose, TD6 9EE.

Bert also had a brother-in-law Sandy, and a sister-in-law Margaret: he was married to our dear sister Lena. We knew Bert longer and better than almost anyone, and mourn his passing.
