SPEIRS Alison Mary (Bowden, Melrose) Peacefully, though unexpectedly, on May 7th 2023, at the Borders General Hospital, surrounded by family and with exceptional care from the staff, Alison (nee Adkins), aged 91, dearly loved wife of Thomas Laing Speirs, devoted and adored mother of Di and Jennie, mother-in-law of Richard and Ken and grandmother of Imogen and Phoebe. All friends are asked to a funeral service in Bowden Kirk, at 11.45am on Monday 22nd May, private cremation. All welcome for tea in Bowden Village Hall. No flowers please, but donations, if desired, to the NSPCC (Scotland) in memory of Alison.
