A RESCUE team searching for a man reported missing in the Borders have found a body.
Borders Search and Rescue team were joined by firefighters from both sides of the border, an underwater search team and a helicopter from RAF Bulmer on the call out in the Ladykirk area of Berwickshire.
They were deployed to search the banks of the River Tweed for a man in his 60s following mounting concern.
The recent heavy rain and exceptionally high river levels made the steep sections of the bank particularly hazardous, and the search was hampered by dense and slippery vegetation.
But, less than an hour into their search on Wednesday, October 24, a body was found in the water just upstream of Norham Bridge by a dive team.
