GALASHIELS knitwear design house Eribé are to undertake a move to a new premises in Melrose.
Following a visit to the business, Local MSP Christine Grahame said: “I’m delighted to see a local business doing well, especially one which gives new life to the Borders textile production heritage.
"It’s great to know that quality textile products are being produced locally and sold internationally, building on that Borders reputation.
“I think Eribé are a great example of a business thriving in the changing nature of town centres, with its relatively small physical store to showcase its wares being backed up a big online business and selling in many outlets.
"This approach of manageably sized stores going hand in hand with online shopping seems to be working well for them and others.
“I must confess to being a personal fan of Eribé’s products and I hope they’ll continue to thrive in Melrose – I look forward to my next shopping trip!”
