THE best of Hawick Museum's collection of works by Scottish artists are set to be the main focus of a new Spring exhibition.
A selection of the best of the best will be on display in the Scott Gallery in the museum, as part of 'The Art Collection', with portraits and landscapes by artists such as Horatio McCulloch and William Mactaggart at the forefront of visitor focus.
Well known Borders scenes, including Smailholm Tower, and artists will also feature in the exhibit.
All the art comes from the 19th and 20th centuries and was formerly owned by the Hawick Art Club in the 1930s, and is now cared for by Live Borders.
Richard White, Assistant Curator at Hawick Museum said: “This exhibition provides a great opportunity for local people and visitors to see works by Scottish artists of some importance.
"Our collection is varied and there’s something for everyone.”
