THERE are now eight people in hospital with coronavirus in the Borders, according to new data.
This is an increase of two new patients being treated for the virus, when compared with yesterday's figures.
In data released today (Tuesday) by the Scottish Government, seven new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the Borders –bringing the region's total since the pandemic began to 888.

Across Scotland in the last 24 hours, 37 new deaths have been recorded among people who tested positive in the last 28 days.
This brings Scotland's total number of COVID-19 deaths to 3,323.
Nationally, there have been 1,248 new cases in the last 24 hours.
The total number of Scottish cases since March is 83,259.
