A HAWICK man has been jailed for 120 days after breaching his bail conditions.
Twenty-seven-year-old Andrew Clamp appeared from custody at Selkirk Sheriff Court and pleaded guilty to the offence which happened at the weekend.
Clamp had been released on bail from Jedburgh Sheriff Court last week after being accused of taking part in a £2,500 raid of designer clothing at the David Thomson and Son shop premises in High Street, Jedburgh.
He made no plea during the private hearing and Sheriff Peter Paterson granted bail with the special condition he had to stay within his parents house.
But after he was found at another property at the weekend outwith permitted hours, Clamp breached the bail condition and Sheriff Paterson said he had no alternative but to impose the jail sentence.
