A BORDERS woman is hoping to make people smile this year with her Christmas campaign.
Jenny Wilson, 33, said that after a "horrible year", she wants the festive season to be the happiest time.
"Lockdown was horrendous," said Jenny. "I really feel for people, especially older people and single parents."
But Jenny's favourite time of year is Christmas, and she doesn't plan to let coronavirus spoil her fun.
"We always have a decorated window and I thought what if we do a 'hunt the snowman' game in people's windows from December 1 to make things more fun for kids when out walking.
"And on Christmas Day people can pop to their front doors and say ‘Merry Christmas’.
"I feel it would really help the people on their own or missing out on seeing family."
And Jenny, who is a nursery nurse, knows a thing or two about creating the perfect Christmas window display.
"As a nursery nurse I've done a lot of crafting. From December 1 we'll have the decorations up.
"In the window we'll have glitter, hanging decorations, reindeers – I have so many ideas – and lots of snow."
The mum of three added: "I think everyone needs a smile this year.
"We've had a complete lifestyle change, and putting up a window display is great for family time.
"I know my kids love it.
"I just want to spread holiday cheer.
"And to brighten up this year before next."
