POLICE are hunting four men after two mountain bikes were stolen from a Borders town.
The incident happened in Peebles Road, Innerleithen, between 2am and 3am today (Tuesday).
The suspects are described by officers as four men – three of slim build and one of heavy build.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The males left in the direction of St Ronan’s Terrace, Innerleithen, at about 3am.
"The two bikes are described as follows:
"1. Grey Trek Remedy mountain bike with Nuke Proof pedals;
"2. Grey Santacruz Hightower LT. This is distinctive in appearance as it has brightly coloured racing chequers on the rear of the bike and orange Fox Forks.
"If you have any information relating to this crime please call 101 and quote incident number 569 of November 24.
"Alternatively if you have any information about this, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org"
