NEARLY 300 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Borders over the past month.
Data published by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (December 1) shows the Borders has recorded 11 new cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the regional total since March to 994.
On November 1, a total of 717 cases had been confirmed since the beginning of the pandemic, meaning that, in the space of a month, the Borders has recorded 277 new cases.

In Scotland, the total number of cases since March now stands at 95,811.
In the last 24 hours across Scotland, there have been 34 deaths where COVID-19 has been mentioned on the death certificate.
In the Borders, the number of patients in hospital with the virus has increased since yesterday (November 30) from nine to 11.
