McDONALD’S has revealed the number of jobs that will be created once its new Borders site opens.
As reported last week, a new restaurant and drive-thru will be coming to Hawick after plans were approved by Scottish ministers.
The fast food giant has now revealed that “at least 60 new jobs” will be created.

A McDonald’s spokesperson said: “We’re delighted that our plans for a new drive-thru restaurant in Hawick have been approved.
“We look forward to opening our doors in the near future, bringing significant investment to the local community and creating at least 60 new jobs.”
The Hawick site on Commercial Road, where the McDonald’s is to be built, will also see a B&M store added.
There is currently one McDonald’s store in the Borders, which opened in Galashiels in 2000.
