A SCOTLAND international rugby star has been accused of dangerous driving in the Borders.
Blair Kinghorn - who has been capped 17 times - is accused of overtaking when it was unsafe to do so, causing motorists coming in the opposite direction to take evasive action.
It is alleged he was driving at excessive speed for the road conditions at the time.
The offence is alleged to have been committed on the A703 road between Eddleston and Peebles on June 9.
The 23-year-old full back - who plays for Edinburgh in the Guinness Pro 14 - pleaded not guilty to the dangerous driving charge at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Kinghorn, of Comely Bank in Edinburgh, will stand trial next June.
