THE Met Office has issued two yellow weather warnings for the Borders, with snow and ice predicted for some areas.
The first warning, which is for 'snow and ice', begins at 10pm today (Monday, February 1) and ends at 11.59pm tomorrow.
The second warning – for snow – applies throughout Wednesday.
Forecasters warn that in some areas, including Galashiels, heavy snow could fall tomorrow morning and into the afternoon. Peebles is among the places more likely to face lighter snow.
The Met Office cautions motorists that they could face some travel delays tonight, tomorrow and on Wednesday.
There is also a risk of ice causing injuries from slips and falls, forecasters say.
The Met Office adds that, across tomorrow and Wednesday, there is a chance that some rural communities could be "cut off".
