A BORDERS man produced a syringe during an argument with staff at an amusement arcade.
Wilson Turnbull, 40, of Eyemouth, appeared on a warrant at Selkirk Sheriff Court and pleaded guilty to a charge of threatening or abusive behaviour at the Beachcomber Amusements in Eyemouth's High Street on October 22.
Procurator fiscal Fraser Matheson said Turnbull had got into an argument with two members of staff about a machine not working properly.
One of the staff members checked it and said it was working properly.

Mr Matheson said the accused became angry and shouted at them, saying he would get his own back.
Turnbull then pulled a syringe out of his pocket and continued shouting.
Mr Matheson added that the syringe did not have a needle in it.

Defence lawyer Ed Hulme said his client had been complaining about a machine swallowing a pound without any credit showing.
He added: "He got frustrated and things escalated and a verbal altercation ensued."
Turnbull, of Chapel Quay, was fined £120 and ordered to pay £75 to each of the two staff members. In addition, a £10 victim surcharge was imposed.
