BORDERS police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of 32 sheep from a farm.
The animals – a mixture of Scottish mule and Texel sheep – were taken from Blackburnrig, near Grantshouse in Berwickshire, between 8am on Friday (February 26) and 1pm on Monday (March 1).
A police spokesperson said: “Police in the Scottish Borders are appealing for information following a theft of 32 Scottish Mule and Texel sheep from a farm near Grantshouse.
“The incident happened at Blackburnrigg, Grantshouse between 8am on Friday February 26 and 1pm on Monday March 1 2021.
“Enquiries are ongoing in the area and any information could prove vital to the investigation.
“If anybody has seen any suspicious activity please contact us on 101 quoting incident number 1574 of the 1st of March 2021.
“Alternatively if anyone has any information and wish to remain anonymous, information can be passed via Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org”
