A MAN broke into a flat in the Borders by climbing through the window, say police.
Officers say the incident happened at around 12.50am on Saturday (March 6) at an address in Talisman Avenue, Galashiels.
The man accessed the property through the window, but climbed back out when disturbed by the resident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The male is described as being in his late 30s, white and about 5 ft 4 in height [with a] slim build.
"At the time the male was wearing a black jacket with a ¼ zip to his chest carrying a black rucksack.
"Anybody with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or by completing our online ‘Contact Us’ form quoting reference number 245 of Saturday, March 6.
