FOR the second week in a row, the Borders has recorded no deaths with coronavirus listed on the death certificate.
According to data released yesterday (Wednesday, March 31) by the National Records of Scotland (NRS), in the week between March 22-28 the Borders had zero COVID-related deaths.
For the year to date, there have been 44 deaths by this measure.
Nationally there were 61 deaths involving COVID-19 for the week of March 22-28.
Since the pandemic began, 9,958 people have died where coronavirus was listed on the death certificate.
