A MAN spent his 21st birthday locked up after committing three offences in the Borders.
Peter Martin appeared from custody at Selkirk Sheriff Court last Monday and pleaded guilty to assaulting his father in Bongate, Jedburgh, on Sunday, April 18.
He also admitted vandalising a motor vehicle and breaching a court bail order in Chirnside during the early hours of the following morning (Monday, April 19).
Sentence was deferred until May 10 for background reports.
Bail was refused and Martin was remanded in custody.
