THE Borders has recorded one new coronavirus case in the last 24 hours.
According to Scottish Government data released at 2pm today (May 7), there have now been 2,894 cases of the virus in the region since the pandemic began.
In the first seven days of May there have been four cases reported in the Borders.
And there still remains fewer than five patients in hospital with COVID-19 in the region.
Across Scotland there are now 227,248 coronavirus cases, and 68 people in hospital.
