BORDERS residents have been named in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
George Young from Kelso will receive an MBE for voluntary service in the region.
The 71-year-old has been a long-term trustee and company secretary of the Queen's House residential care home.
He has also been regional treasurer of the Scottish Borders Scouts and has served both Kelso Rotary Club and community council.
Professor Alexander Meikle Davison from Ancrum will also get an MBE for voluntary service to the Royal British Legion in Scotland.
The 81-year-old serves as a trustee and chairman at the Lady Haig Poppy Factory in Edinburgh.
Janet Moffat from Coldstream will be awarded with a British Empire Medal for services to charity in the Scottish Borders and overseas.
Since retiring, she has raised thousands of pounds for charities including £99,000 for Breast Cancer Now.
She is known locally as the 'Jam Lady' as she sells hundreds of jars of jam made from home-grown fruit to boost her fundraising efforts.
And Pauline Elliot from Newcastleton will also receive a BEM for services to the Newcastleton Resilience Group during COVID-19.
She is leader of the group and during the pandemic she has managed 30 extra volunteers to support community efforts to help those shielding or isolating.
Scottish secretary Alister Jack said: “My sincere congratulations go to all the Scots who have been honoured by Her Majesty.”
