AN APPEAL has been launched after cash was stolen from a Borders church.
Police say St Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Kelso was broken into between 7pm on Thursday, June 17 and 9.15am on Friday, June and 18.
Officers say a person forced their way into the office of the church and stole a money box containing cash.
Detective Constable Ashley Black said: We are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious during that time to contact us.
“Perhaps you saw someone loitering outside the church who looked a little odd or suspicious and thought nothing of it at the time.
“Any small piece of information could assist our enquiries, so please do get in touch.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0784 of June 18, 2021.
