THE Borders will remain in Level 1 of coronavirus restrictions on Monday (June 28), Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed, rather than move to Level 0.

The Borders is currently in Level 1 and will remain there until at least July 19, the First Minister revealed.

Some changes to weddings and funerals will take place on June 28, with live entertainment at receptions permitted.
Those accompanying the wedding couple down the aisle will no longer need to wear face coverings.
Meanwhile, people from more than one household will be able to carry the coffin at a funeral.
The aim is to lift the major remaining legal restrictions on August 9 – although working from home will still be encouraged.
