LANGLEE Carnival has announced this year's Lad and Lass.
Earlier this month the carnival shared via Facebook that Kaylah Kayser (10) and Corey Murray (10) had been chosen as Lad and Lass for 2022.
Corey's mum, Ashley, told the Border Telegraph that her son was "over the moon" about being chosen as Langlee Carnival Lad.
Ashley, 34, a support worker, said: "Corey and Kaylah have been friends since they were babies and they're so happy for each other."
And Kaylah's mum, Kirsty, 32, who is also a support worker, added: "She's very excited, really looking forward to it."
Both pupils will move into P7 later this year.
The Carnival committee shared that although the celebration cannot go ahead as usual this year, they hope to return in April 2022, and have plans to host a Family Teddy Bears' picnic on September 11, 2021.
