BEING found in possession of a small bag of heroin cost Dean Robertson a £360 fine at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
The 31-year-old of Lothian Street, Hawick, pleaded guilty to being in possession of 0.7 grammes of the class A drug which had a value of £25.
The offence happened at a property in Cheviot Road, Hawick, on February 5 last year.
Depute fiscal Kate Irwin told the court the drugs recovered equated to a small bag of heroin.
Sheriff Janys Scott said she would have imposed a fine of £450 but reduced it to £360 due to the guilty plea.
