A BORDERS man has been warned of the consequences of taking the law into his own hands by a sheriff.
Twenty-five-year-old Cameron Winwood, of Kelso, pleaded guilty at Jedburgh Sheriff Court to charges of threatening or abusive behaviour and vandalism after getting involved in a dispute between his sister and her partner.
Sheriff Peter Paterson said: "I do not accept people taking the law into their own hands. There are extenuating circumstances here so I will admonish you but that will not happen in the future."
