A THUNDERSTORM warning has been issued for the Borders.
The yellow alert was issued by the Met Office at 10.40am on Tuesday (August 3).
The warning initially covered the period 10am-11.59pm on Friday. However, it has since been extended to 9am on Saturday following an update.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "Slow moving thundery downpours may cause localised surface water impacts."

Heavy showers are expected across much of the UK on Friday, according to the spokesperson.
There is a "small chance" that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, the spokesperson added.
Difficult driving conditions are also predicted by the forecasters, with Borderers warned to expect "some road closures".
According to the Met Office's 'warning impact matrix', the warning has a "very low likelihood and a medium impact".
