THE Borders has recorded more coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, new data shows.
According to figures released at 2pm today (August 25) by the Scottish Government, the Borders has recorded 84 new cases of COVID-19 in a 24-hour period.
The total number of positive cases in the Borders since the start of the pandemic now stands at 5,410.

The region has also reported 17 people in hospital with confirmed coronavirus in this period.
Nationally there have been 400,842 positive cases of COVID-19 since March 2020.
And across Scotland there are 426 people in hospital with the virus.
