REPORTS have been ordered into a 43-year-old man who admitted two assaults on his wife at their home in Melrose on July 26.
Darren Johnston, who gave a bail address in Edinburgh Road, Peebles, pleaded guilty to the offences.
Sentence was deferred at Selkirk Sheriff Court until September 21.
