UPDATE: Services between Edinburgh and Tweedbank are now returning to run as scheduled, according to a ScotRail spokesperson.
SERVICES on the Borders Railway have been disrupted due to a ‘safety inspection’ of the track, say officials.
Journeys between Edinburgh and Tweedbank are “subject to delay and alteration”.
Network Rail Scotland staff are currently “onsite”, according to a ScotRail spokesperson.

The spokesperson said: “We have a safety inspection of the track between Stow and Galashiels.
“Services between Edinburgh and Tweedbank are subject to delay and alteration.”
Ticket acceptance has been arranged with Borders Buses, the spokesperson added.
