A BORDERS woman found in possession of £190 worth of cannabis has been fined £175 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Twenty-seven-year-old Rebecca Fox, of Jedburgh, admitted having eight ounces of the class B drug on the A7 in Galashiels on February 18.
She was initially charged with being concerned in the supply of cannabis but pled guilty to the lesser charge of possession.
Defence lawyer Ed Hulme said at the time of the offence Fox was a heavy cannabis user and had purchased the drug in bulk to save money.
In addition to the fine, a £10 Victim Surcharge was imposed.
