THE Borders has recorded 56 new cases of coronavirus in the last day, latest figures show.
According to Scottish Government data published at 2pm today (October 22), the Borders has now seen 8,669 cases of the virus since the start of the pandemic.
There are currently 12 people in the hospital in the Borders with confirmed cases of the virus – three more than yesterday.
Scotland has now recorded 620,433 cases of the virus since March last year, according to the latest data.
