PARENTS have been contacted following a coronavirus outbreak at a school in the Borders, according to the council.
Hawick High School currently has around 20 positive cases, says a spokesperson for the local authority.
The school “continues to follow all national guidance around COVID-19”.

The spokesperson said: “Hawick High School currently has around 20 positive cases in the school community.
“Parents have received communications with detailed information and advice about the presence of COVID-19 in the school.”
Lateral flow tests are offered to all S1-S6 students, according to Scottish Borders Council’s website, with participation in twice-weekly testing “strongly encouraged”.
Meanwhile, all staff are also offered tests.
