BORDERERS are being warned about a coronavirus ‘passport scam’.
NHS Borders says it has been made aware of a hoax text which states that the recipient may be fined if they do not apply for a COVID-19 pass.
A spokesperson for the health board asked people to “disregard” the message.
You need a COVID-19 pass to enter nightclubs, adult entertainment venues and many large events in Scotland.
In an update from deputy first minister John Swinney yesterday (November 9), he confirmed that the passport scheme could be expanded to “indoor hospitality and leisure settings”.
