A MOTORIST who admitted driving while double the legal alcohol limit has been banned from the road at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Thirty-six-year-old Scott Harrison appeared on a warrant and pleaded guilty to driving with a breath/alcohol count of 46 microgrammes – the legal limit being 22.
The offence happened on the A68 road at Wiselaw Mill near Lauder on March 18 last year.
Sentence was deferred on Harrison, of Pelaw, County Durham, until next month for the production of background reports and an interim driving ban was imposed in the meantime.
