POLICE in the Scottish Borders have seized a quantity of class A drugs during on raid three premises in Hawick.
Officers from the Community Action Team, who are funded separately by Scottish Borders Council and concentrate mainly on local quality of life issues, carried out the operation on Wednesday 12 January.
Acting under warrant they searched three premises in Hawick and recovered an unspecified quantity of class A drugs.
A 27-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman are now subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with this recovery.
Sergeant Gavin Liddle from the Scottish Borders Community Action Team said: “We are committed to targeting drugs crime in our local communities and we will continue to carry out operations to disrupt it.
“Information from the public is crucial to our investigations and we urge anyone with information or concerns about drugs activity to contact us on 101.
