A PREGNANT ewe has been euthanised after suffering injuries in a suspected ‘dog attack’, say police.
Officers are looking for witnesses to assist their enquiries into the incident, which took place around lunchtime on Thursday (January 13).
The suspected attack is said to have happened on Sunderland Hall House farmland close to its boundary with the Yair Forest, Selkirkshire.

The incident resulted in the “necessary destruction” of the injured pregnant ewe, according to police.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Anyone with information can call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2574 of January 13, 2022.
“Notwithstanding this appeal, it is considered appropriate to remind all dog walkers of their responsibilities walking their animals close to farmland and livestock.”
