POLICE in the Scottish Borders are appealing for the public’s help in their investigation into a theft which took place in Peebles earlier this week.
About 3:35pm on Monday afternoon (10 January 2022), a green coloured Whyte E-150 electric bike was stolen from the Edinburgh Road car park, Peebles.
The bike was secured to the back of a parked Black Isuzu D-Max Pick Up.
An unidentified person was observed pushing the bike towards Eastgate, Peebles.
Photographs of the bike have been released.
A Police Scotland statement on social media reads: “If you can assist with information, dash cam or mobile phone footage please contact Police Scotland on 101 or by using our online ‘Contact Us’ form quoting incident 2276 of 10/01/2022.
“You can also report anonymously through charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
