A BORDERS woman who admitted driving while more than three times the legal alcohol limit has been banned from the road for 12 months at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Forty-six-year-old Shona Kenmuir also pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident in Glen Road, Peebles, on September 7.
Depute fiscal Joanna Waller said that at around 2am witnesses heard the sound of a vehicle's brakes screeching and a loud bang.

She continued: "They saw the accused in the driver's seat before getting out and then staggered along the road."
Kenmuir, of Peebles, pleaded guilty to driving withy a breath/alcohol reading of 70 microgrammes – the legal limit being 22.
She was fined £200 and disqualified from driving for 12 month and fined another £100 for failing to stop after an accident
