FORTY cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Borders in the last 24 hours, the latest figures show.
The Scottish Government published updated statistics at 2pm today (January 25).
And the data shows that the region has now seen 17,344 cases of COVID-19 since March last year.
There are 56 people in hospital in the Borders with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus, according to the figures – two more than yesterday.
The total number of cases in Scotland now stands at 1,127,067.
