STORMY conditions have seen a number of roads close across the Borders, the council has announced.
The Met Office issued warnings of high winds for the region due to Storm Malik.
Scottish Borders Council announced earlier that recycling centres in Langlee, Hawick and Eyemouth would shut to the public due to the conditions.
And the local authority has now published a list of road closures that are in effect:
A1: between National Border and East Lothian at Cockburnspath/Torness – road closed due to fallen power lines
A1107: between Tower Farm and Eyemouth – tree blocking road at Burnmouth but passable with care
A6112: between Coldstream and Grantshouse at Prestoncleuch – passable with care
B6355: between Cranshaws and Eyemouth – tree down but road clear
B6437/A1: between Houndwood and Lennel/Chirnside to Allanton - tree down at Allanton Bridge but road open
B6460: between Greenlaw and Paxton at Charterhall – road closed due to fallen tree
C94: Coldstream to Duns at Swinton Mill – tree down but road clear
D1/6: Whitchester to Longformacus – road to Whitchester House closed due to fallen tree
C94: Coldstream to Duns at Castlelaw - tree down but road clear
C94: South of Abbey St Bathans at Burnhouses – tree down but road clear
B6355: Eyemouth to Ayton at A1 flyover – branch hanging over carriageway but passable with care
