THE Borders has recorded 108 new cases of coronavirus in the last day, according to new figures.
Scottish Government data was published at 2pm today (March 2).
And the updated statistics show that the Borders has now recorded 22,708 cases of COVID-19 since March 2020.
There are 19 people in hospital in the region – one fewer than yesterday.
Scotland has seen 1,467,078 cases since the start of the pandemic, according to the figures.
And for the week between February 21-27 the Borders recorded five coronavirus-related deaths.
The total number of deaths recorded in the region since the pandemic began now stands at 231.
Across Scotland there have been 13,293 coronavirus-related deaths since March 2020.
