A FORESTRY worker involved in a disturbance with his former partner has been fined £350 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Thirty-five-year-old Sean Owens pleaded guilty to threatening or abusive behaviour by repeatedly striking the doors of a house in McLagan Drive, Hawick, on November 21, and uttering threats of violence and making offensive comments towards the woman.
Defence lawyer Mat Patrick said: "Alcohol had a part to play in this and he acknowledges this. He has stopped drinking completely."
Owens, of Silverbuthall Road, Hawick, was also told to pay a £20 Victim Surcharge and a two years Non-Harassment Order was also imposed.
