THE Borders has recorded more than 250 cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, latest data shows.
Updated figures were published by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (March 23).
And they show that the Borders has now recorded 27,721 cases of the COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.

There are 59 people in hospital in the region with recently confirmed cases of the virus, according to the data – the same as yesterday.
Coronavirus is contributing to staffing issues and putting “significant” pressure on NHS Borders’ services, according to a spokesperson.
“Extremely long waits” are currently predicted for people attending the emergency department at Borders General Hospital.
Meanwhile, Scotland has now seen 1,717,534 COVID-19 cases since March 2020.
