THE Borders recorded more than 550 cases of coronavirus over the weekend, latest figures show.
Updated statistics were published by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (March 28).
And they show that the region has now seen 28,757 cases of the virus since the start of the pandemic – a rise of 566 from Friday.

There are 59 people in hospital in the Borders with recently confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to the latest data.
That figure is up one from Friday.
Scotland has now recorded 1,766,147 cases of the virus since March 2020, the data shows.
