THE Borders recorded more than 350 cases of coronavirus over the weekend, latest figures show.
Updated statistics were published by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (April 4).
And they show that the region has now seen 29,878 cases of the virus since the start of the pandemic – a rise of 354 from Friday (April 1).
However, according to Public Health Scotland, a data flow issue from the Scottish Government Lateral Flow Device (LFD) portal, has resulted in "lower than usual numbers of LFD tests and cases" since Friday.
There are 67 people in hospital in the Borders with recently confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to the latest data.
That figure is the same as Friday, however, it reduced to 62 on Sunday (April 3).
Scotland has now recorded 1,817,661 cases of the virus since March 2020, the data shows.
