TWO women were taken to hospital for treatment following a crash near a Borders village this morning (April 12), according to police.
The two-vehicle collision happened on the A1 near Grantshouse at around 8.30am.
Police and fire services attended the scene, with the road closed northbound for around four hours.

On the incident, a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.30am on Tuesday, April 12 police were called to the A1 at the junction with the B6437, following a report of a two-vehicle crash.
“Two women were taken to hospital for treatment and the road reopened around 12.45pm.”
The road has now fully reopened.
