Best beer gardens in the Scottish Borders

Allanton Inn

Location: Allanton TD11 3JZ Scotland

Tripadvisor rating: 5.0

One customer took to Tripadvisor and left this review: "We were a group of five friends, getting together for a good catch-up and a nice dinner. We were seated in the smaller area of the restaurant, with only one other table of 5/6, so the ambience was cosy, welcoming & fun. The food, in terms of variety, quality, cooking, presentation & value for money was simply superb. Not one of us had a fault to find, each thoroughly enjoying their selection..."

The Bridge Inn

Location: 72 Port Brae, Peebles EH45 8AW

Tripadvisor rating: 4.5

One customer took to Tripadvisor and left this review: "The Bridge Inn is a bright and roomy pub situated, surprise surprise, right by the main bridge across the river. The furnishings and decor are distinctly old style - and I hope that it stays this way as they lend the pub the sort of cosy and friendly atmosphere so often lacking in modern bars.

"Service was quick and friendly and, certainly in the early evening (my favourite time to have a pint), the ambience was relaxing and friendly. This is a most pleasant, traditional sort of pub and certainly one of the best in Peebles."
